The UK and European dates for Morrissey’s tour have been postponed.
The reason for the cancellation is likely a response to the protest party held at Manchester’s Revolution Bar near where Morrissey’s gigs were due to be held.
The protest is being held in response to Morrissey’s recent criticism of “shocking treatment” of the E.D.L. Leader Tommy Robinson.
After circulating rumors, the news was confirmed in a statement via Gigs and Tours.
“Due to logistical circumstances beyond our control, the UK/European Morrissey concerts scheduled for July will be postponed,” the statement read.
“We deeply regret any inconvenience to the fans and promise to reschedule UK and European dates as soon as possible.”
They also confirmed that tickets bought for the July shows would be fully refunded:
“All original purchasers from official ticket outlets will have the full ticket fee refunded, including booking fee, to their credit/debit cards.”
“The LIHS World Tour will continue, starting back up in Mexico City on November 23rd. Watch for more dates to be added soon!”
